WanTok Money allows you to send money to any mobile number in Tonga or Vanautu from Australia and NZ. WanTok Money is a Tongan owned service operating in partnership with KlickEx, renowned remittance service providers in the Pacific.
How it works:
To send money, you will have to register with WanTok money by creating and verifying your account (this will require a form of ID; either passport of driver’s license) then deposit money into your account with a bank transfer. lastly, identify your recipient and you’re ready to send.
To receive money, all your recipient requires is a phone number, it will automatically create a mobile wallet. They will receive an SMS when the money arrives into their wallet. They then they can cash out at a WanTok Money agent. There are currently no fees for cashing out at these agents. Check the website for where to find your nearest agent.
