Dear Burma works to give every Burmese migrant a chance to gain educational skills, confidence and improve their lives linguistically. Through Dear Burma every student is given the knowledge and strength to combat racial and political issues, election fixings and numerous other problems holding back the advancement of their homeland.  The foundation which runs the school, is an organization in Thailand with a strong mandate of strengthening regional networks and working on Burmese democratic issues.
